The Uncompahgre National Forest; a Photographer's Dream

The Uncompahgre National Forest is an easy drive from Grand Junction, and offers many hiking, ATV/UTV trails and magnificent views.

Along the Last Dollar Road

The Uncompahgre National forest is full of scenic views, a large variety of wildlife, many hiking and biking trails and is truly a mecca for ATV/UTV riders.

There are 22 campgrounds in or near the National Forest, which include 14 developed

campgrounds, provided by the U.S. National Forest where spaces rent for a reasonable fee, BLM campsites for free camping and a few private campgrounds. Go here for a good source of campground information

Enjoy 141 trails for year around recreation; hiking, horseback riding, biking and ATV/UHV, snow snowmobiling and snow shoeing as well as hunting and fishing.

Most recently, we went Fall color hunting with friends. The colors were absolutely amazing!

As a side note, Mike owns an EZ-PTG Deluxe generator which he uses to keep the batteries charged up for his drone, cameras and other electronic photography equipment. Another unique use for portable power to go.
